The Catholic Appeal helps people in all phases of life – from children, to youth, to parents, to the elderly. Now in its 85th year, the Appeal sustains the numerous agencies, programs, and ministries that provide food and shelter, educate children and adults, and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands.
Gifts to the Catholic Appeal have a wide-reaching impact across the Diocese of Fall River: from Mansfield, Easton and the Attleboro’s, through the Taunton, Fall River and New Bedford areas, to Cape Cod and the Islands. Donors who support the Appeal help minister to and improve the lives of tens of thousands of people and support the Catholic faith in action.
Donor support bolsters the wide outreach of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River, the largest non-government provider of emergency assistance in the Diocese and a leader in helping those most in need of the corporeal works of mercy. Appeal gifts also help sustain other areas including ministry to the sick; campus ministry, youth, and young adult ministry; and those young men discerning a journey to the priesthood, as well as the Diaconate Program, active clergy, and retired clergy.
